Architect Conrad Skinner in Santa Fe posted a FaceBook notice that Daniel Banks, PhD, is appointed to develop the performance and expressive arts program of the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) that was dreamed of decades ago by artist-faculty members Lloyd Kiva New and Charles Loloma. News hardly ever gets better than this (unless maybe there is something happening in the stars I don't know about yet?) but I'm more than happy to accept: I love good news and this news is way better, much more better, than good. It's great news that me, personally, has wanted to hear for at least one eternity. Daniel Banks, he has already done some very fine work, as the report on this page shows. | Credit goes to the IAIA for choosing to have Daniel Banks go forward with its longed-for, long anticipated, eternally needed performance/expressive arts program. I know I am but one among many who can almost not hardly wait to see what Daniel Banks will take action to bring about in Santa Fe. |
