I much enjoyed, while at Arcosanti helping Paolo with his writing, using personal time to find "lost" alumni, reaching out to reconnect, find out what they were doing.
That was some ten years ago and I've continued soldiering on as I still want to find out where arconauts are, find out what's happening with them. They all matter. Yes, they do.
Keeping abreast with those I've met face-to-face or with whom I worked got a bit easier as the world got more web-wired: I do like how cyberspace has gotten sometimes quite magical. But even so, it had been way long since I'd communicated with Chia Chia in Singapore so Ron and Vonny's intention to visit there was a perfect excuse to make up for lost time.
Putting them all together, not only do I get some idea as to what Chia Chia has been doing (which is marvelous: see website link below), I'm of the opinion that arconauts making a positive connection may lead to - who knows?
So, gentle readers (as Miss Manners used to say), if you haven't yet inscribed yourself onto the ArcosantiAlumniNetwork.org signin, allow me to encourage you to do so ASAP. Also please rattle (gently, of course) the cages of other arconauts you know in the wide, wide world we live in, to get them to do the same.
The sounder the connections we all make, the more we do, the more we may be of benefit. The more we are of benefit, the better the world can be for all. Right?
